Tips to Get Your Kids to Go to Sleep on Christmas Eve ...
By Deeceebee

It is truly the most magical night of the year, unless you are desperately searching for tips to get your kids to go to sleep on Christmas Eve. Whether you want to kick back with a sherry to put your feet up in front of the TV or you still have a pile of gifts to wrap, if you’re a parent of young children, you’re more probably spending the early evening trying to enforce sleep on you over-excited kids. I remember my siblings and I were a nightmare to my parents on Christmas Eve. If we weren’t kneeling on the bed scouring out of the window to catch a glimpse of Santa, we were singing carols or going over and over our Christmas lists. When you still believe in Santa Claus, you have no concept that Christmas Eve can be a stressful time for parents. The need time to finish the preparations for the big day.

As a parent, you want the whole of Christmas to be magical, so you don’t want to harangue your kids when they won’t sleep.

Don’t despair. You can find plenty of tips for getting your kids to sleep on Christmas Eve, but I happen to be very fond of the Plaid Dad. Imagine him in a red suit with white hair and beard and he would make a stellar Santa Claus.

The evening is drawing nigh so maybe it is time to think about some of the suggestions so you can enjoy a pleasant and less stressful Christmas Eve, while your kids sleep as snug as a bug in a rug.
