It is important to do what you can to have a comfortable last trimester. The third trimester of pregnancy can sometimes be the most challenging of the entire pregnancy. You are dealing with swelling, backaches, pressure on your bladder and numerous other symptoms. These pieces of advice can help you to have a more comfortable last trimester.

1 Slip-on Shoes

Slip-on shoes are a must if you want to have a comfortable last trimester. Reaching your feet is not easy in the last trimester. It is not that you cannot or are not able to wear other types of shoes but slip-on shoes are so much easier. It is one less stressful thing you have to deal with in those last few weeks. Slip-on shoes also typically have a little bit more room to stretch if you are dealing with swelling in your feet.

2 Help around the House

If you can get help around the house, do so. Take up any offers that you receive from friends and family to help. This time will not last and people will not always be so willing to help. Allow them to do so while they have that desire. It makes things easier for you and allows you more time to rest.

3 Kegel Exercises

Kegel exercises can help you to have less pressure on the bladder. They are easy to do and can be done anywhere. Of course you should always check with your doctor before you do any kind of exercise, including Kegel exercises. 4 A Prenatal Exercise or Yoga Class

Again, you only want to do these exercises if your doctor approves. Exercise tends to make you feel better during pregnancy. I have two children but only exercised throughout one pregnancy and I could definitely tell a difference. Taking a prenatal exercise or prenatal yoga class can help to relieve your aches and pains and help you to sleep better at night. It also is an opportunity to meet some other expectant moms.

5 A Pedicure

You know, painting your toenails in that third trimester is not easy. If you can, why not splurge for a pedicure? It will save you the trouble and make you feel so much better. Pedicures are a treat anytime. You have perfectly painted toes and your feet and legs feel wonderful afterward.

6 A Prenatal Massage

Prenatal massages are a wonderful luxury. Treat yourself to one if you can. They make you feel so relaxed and just altogether lovely. It can help to relieve those backaches and other aches that can plague you in the last trimester of pregnancy. Take up this opportunity for a massage while you can. After baby comes, it will not be so easy to slip away to the spa.

Pregnancy pillows are wonderful companions when you are in the last trimester. They are good for all of your pregnancy but are even more beneficial as the pregnancy goes on. They can help you to sleep so much better. They give you good support and know just where to fit your body because that is what they were designed to do. Many women claim they are lifesavers.
