“Did you hear superheroes are real? That’s right they’re called single moms”
Hi, I am a single mom of two. A four-year-old and an 8-month-old. My household and day to day life are filled with craziness, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. The kids give me purpose.
Here are some tips that I’ve learned along the way!

1. CREATE a SCHEDULE
Consistency is the key to parenthood. There are definitely days where I am behind an hour getting the kids to bed or making dinner, but try to keep a routine. Write down a list with times and stick to it.
2. FIND a BABYSITTER
Find someone that you could trust so that you can get out whenever you need a break from the kids. It’s not a bad thing to want time alone from the kids. You have to be able to let your hair down from time to time. For me that once a week or else I go crazy lol.

3. HAVE YOU TIME
Every day make time to have you-time. There needs to be thirty mins at least where you are literally doing nothing pertaining to the kids. I usually run a bubble bath and have a glass of wine. Find what makes you happy.
4. JOIN a SUPPORT GROUP
Being a single mom is tough, there is no secret about it. With that being said you need people to help you through tough times and positive people that will encourage you to keep moving. There are tons of support groups for single women out there find the one that’s best for you. It’s nice having people to relate to and vent to. “Is your kid acting an ass today”? “Yes, mine is too”. Great conversation starter.
