Let’s see, I was born on January 4 of 1985. I am 26 years old today, so that means, I will be telling you products from the 80’s and 90’s. These are all things that I owned at one point. Actually, I came across some of my old toys and books from when I was a child not too long ago. Let me give you 8 childhood products we love …
OMG – I so had some jelly shoes when I was growing up. I really liked these and was sad to see the day they tore up – but that’s okay, I still have memories of wearing them.
Hey, all of you that are my age – do you remember those slap on wrist bracelets? Those were so cool! I remember picking out a couple of them when I was a child – I was so excited to get one. Not too long ago, I came across a booth that was selling slap on wrist bracelets and I was excited to introduce them to my little girl.
Hey, these shows could as “products” right? Well, if you grew up during my time, you definitely have to remember watching Saved by the Bell and Full House. I actually recently watched all of the Saved by the Bell episodes again – pretty cool.
I don’t think I was an extremely huge fan of My Little Pony and Strawberry Shortcake, but I do remember sitting in the yard as a child playing with them. I have some My Little Ponies that belong to my little one lingering around here.
Oh goodness, I had an Atari and nearly every game to go along with it. I then went to a Nintendo, then Super Nintendo, then a N64, then from there, I continued to upgrade. It is neat to look back and see just how much video games played. Today, the games I found super fun are probably boring to me now – except for Mario! I still have a Nintendo and SNES.
Wow, I not only watched Alf, but I had an Alf stuffed animal that I really adored as a child. Alf was so cool! Just talking about him makes me want to go and watch some videos online! Perhaps later, I will do that.
Oh yes, you cannot forget about the Game Boy and the Sega Handheld! This should of went in with video games, but I just had to include a special number for it!
The Kaleidoscope was really big back when I was growing up. I was amazed by them every time I looked in them. I recently noticed some kaleidoscopes on the store shelves and just had to buy my little girl one. They are not the same as what I play with, but she still enjoys it.
Those are 8 childhood products we love – well, at least, I loved when I was a child. Going through this stuff has brought back a lot of memories that I like. That’s why I like writing about stuff like this. Do you have any?
