# 7 Simple and Fun Halloween Crafts for Kids

With Halloween approaching, my home is buzzing with creative energy. I love getting my son into the spirit of the season with fun, simple craft ideas. Crafts are wonderful activities for children: they're engaging, they build fine motor skills, and they're a perfect way to bond while passing the time. Plus, I love displaying the finished projects as festive seasonal decorations. Here are some of my favorite, easy-to-make Halloween crafts for kids.

## 1. Pumpkin Masks

This is easily one of my favorite projects, and my little guy had a blast with it. You'll need paper plates, orange construction paper, glue, and Popsicle sticks. Cut two eye holes out of the plate, then have your little one tear pieces of orange paper and glue them onto the back until it's covered. Draw a Jack-o'-lantern mouth and attach a Popsicle stick at the bottom. Once dry, your child has a fun, DIY mask for playtime. ## 2. Footprint Ghosts

This makes for a wonderful keepsake. Simply paint a thin layer of white non-toxic fingerpaint onto your child's foot and have them carefully step onto a piece of black construction paper. Once the paint dries, draw a pair of eyes and a small mouth on the heel to turn the footprint into a ghost. Be sure to write the date on the paper to remember how tiny they were. ## 3. Pumpkin Bags

These are perfect for collecting treats or storing small autumn treasures. Start with a plain orange paper lunch bag. Have your child draw a funny Jack-o'-lantern face on the front using black markers or construction paper cutouts. If you want a handle, you can punch holes near the top and thread through some sturdy twine or ribbon.
