3. Train for a Race/Walk

There are many races or walks that include family activities and slower paced races that are just for kids. During the Fall season there is one called โ€œMonster Mashโ€ that encourages participants to dress up in Halloween costumes!

This year I registered for my first 5K walk on Motherโ€™s Day for the Philadelphia Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. I walked with my mom, sister, brother-in-law, and family friend. Next year Iโ€™m hoping to get my husband and kids involved as well. Walking together for a great cause while staying fit, you canโ€™t beat that!
